Mt. Morris, IL, Rick Lee Hagemann, age 60, passed away on Thursday May 4th, 2017 in the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital, Madison, WI surrounded by his family. Rick was born August 19, 1956 in Freeport, IL the son of Arnold & Alice (Baker) Hagemann. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1975. Rick enlisted into the Army after graduation, serving from 1975 to 1978 with two years in Bamburg, Germany as a tank mechanic. Rick worked as a printing pressman at Quebecor and D.B. Hess Printing; he also worked for Shaw Valley Media. He was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan and enjoyed many NASCAR races at Daytona, Bristol, and Chicago land.
Rick is survived by his children: Natasha Hagemann, Leaf River, IL and Tyler Hagemann, Ankney, IA; granddaughter: Hailey Call, Leaf River, IL; mother: Alice Hagemann, Mt. Morris, IL; sisters: Vicky (James) Beers, Chester, IL; Sheri (Scott) Taylor, Roscoe, IL; and Bonnie Freidag, Lanark, IL; an uncle, several aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Rick is preceded in death by his father: Arnold; maternal and paternal grandparents, aunt, and several uncles.
A visitation will be held on Sunday May 7, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. Private family burial will be later in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL.

Mt. Morris, IL, Jeffrey A. Cox, age 49, passed away on April 18, 2017 from complications from a stroke in St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL with his family by his side. Jeffrey was born May 22, 1967 in Dixon, IL the son of Gerald & Gardia (Himes) Cox. Jeffrey enjoyed life, helping others, cooking, fishing, spending time with his family; he was a wonderful son. Brother, and loving father.
Jeffrey is survived by his children: Travis, Seth, Deven, Merissa, and Mia Pearl; several brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jeffrey is preceded in death by his father: Gerald and brother: Brian Swartz.

Naperville, IL Frances Marian Bressler, age 81, died Tuesday March 28, 2017 in Tabor Hills Healthcare Facility, Naperville, IL. Fran was born Frances Marian Scheidler on April 12, 1935 in Coldwater, Michigan, the daughter of Rollin & Irma (Hanna) Scheidler. Fran was one of 8 children, brothers and sisters include; Beth Lou, Donald, John, Rollin, David, Irma, and Rebecca. She graduated from Coldwater High School class of 1953. After she graduated from high school she moved to Chicago, IL where she worked for the Burlington Railroad. Fran met Lewis Johnson and they were married June 10, 1961, and they had two children; David born August of 1962 and Anita born April of 1964. Lewis preceded her in death in September 1980. In 1982, Fran married long time friend, Donald (Don) Bressler, and moved to Moravia, Iowa where they spent many years enjoying Lake Rathbun. Donald preceded her death in September 1998. Fran was a member of the United Methodist Church in Moravia, Iowa; and she loved music, traveling, boating, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Fran is survived by her 2 children: David (Maggie) Johnson, Polo, IL and Anita (Ken) Pawlowski, Bolingbrook, IL; grandchildren: Nicole (Pawel Bujnowski) Pawlowski, David Pawlowski, and Matthew Pawlowski; 3 great grandchildren: Mia, Ava, and Lia Bujnowski; brothers and sisters: Beth Lou Zebolsky, Donald Scheidler, Rolly Scheidler, David Scheidler, Irma (Gordon) Hinckley, and Rebecca (Kenneth) Bible.
Fran is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Lewis Johnson; husband: Donald Bressler; and brother: John Scheidler.

Mt. Morris, IL, Evelyn G. Hall, age 92, died Thursday March 23, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Center, Freeport, IL. Evelyn was born on April 3, 1924 in Burlington, IL, the daughter of George S. & Evelyn (Tucker) Henderson. Evelyn married Kenneth J. Hall on April 8, 1944 in Sycamore, IL and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2004. Evelyn and Kenneth farmed in the Sycamore area until 1966 moving to rural Polo, IL. While farming along side her husband, Evelyn had chickens and would sell farm fresh eggs in the community. After selling the farm in 1998 they moved to Mt. Morris, IL.
Evelyn is survived by her children: Carol (Tommy) McGee, Sycamore, IL and Randy Hall, Freeport, IL; 1 granddaughter: Jessica (Michael) Krise, Sycamore, IL.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Kenneth J. Hall; 3 sisters: Arlene, Mareva, and Mildred.
Funeral services will be held March 27, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL, with Rev. Virginia Haney officiating. Private family burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Sycamore, IL. Visitation will be held March 27, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until service time.

Leaf River, IL, Virginia G. Borneman, age 90, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Center in Freeport following a brief illness. Virginia was born on July 26, 1926 near Leaf River, IL, the daughter of John and Helen (Reber) Wagner. She graduated from Leaf River High School in 1944. She was united in marriage to Calvin E. Borneman on April 6, 1947 at St. James Lutheran Church, Forreston, IL. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2003.
Virginia worked as an Avon representative for over 52 years. She was a very talented seamstress, and a great cook. She enjoyed attending concerts and plays, and loved listening to music. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Forreston, IL and served there in many capacities over the years. She was currently a member of the church council.
Virginia is survived by three daughters: Angela Roz, Golden, CO, Cynthia (Ed) Faulkner, Freeport, and Valarie (Chuck) Woods, Willow Springs, MO; three grandsons: David (Christy) King, Waukesha, WI, Nathan Faulkner (Heather Daum), Chicago, and Brett (Brandi) Faulkner, Galena, as well as three great-grandchildren, Adam, Alexandria and Ian. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and an infant son.
Funeral services will be held Saturday March 25 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church with Pastor Steven Erickson officiating. Burial at West Grove Cemetery immediately following the service. Mt. Morris, IL, Francis C. Michael (known as Mike to friends), age 93, died Thursday March 16, 2017 in Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon, IL. Mike was born September 18, 1923 in Rochelle, IL, the son of Francis E. & Anna L. (Paul) Michael. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1941. Mike served in the Pacific as an Army Medic from 1942 to 1945. Mike married Doris Hoffman on April 26, 1947 in Oregon, IL and she preceded him in death on March 23, 2015 after 68 years of marriage. Mike worked from Kable Printing Company as an Electrotyper. He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW. Mike enjoyed music and he played in the 129th Infantry Band from 1939-1941, Kable Concert Band, and the local clown band. He enjoyed flying and he flew out of the Polo airport. He also was a member of the civil Air Patrol.

(Dennis) Black, Normal, IL; grandchildren: Valerie Larson, Rock Fall, IL, Matthew (Christina) Larson, Rock Falls, IL, Michael (Melissa) Black, Bloomington, IL, Douglas (Amanda) Black, Normal, IL, Heather (Seann) Berrocales, Normal, IL, Jaime (Joshua) Peters, Bloomington, IL; 16 great-grandchildren.

Mt. Morris, IL, Robert A. Stouffer, age 92, died March 3, 2017 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, with his family by his side. Robert was born March 23, 1924 in Rockvale Township, rural Ogle County, the son of Ray & Emma (Agon) Stouffer. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1942. He served in the US Navy. Robert married Eleanor F. Hardesty on October 12, 1946 in Mt. Morris, IL. He worked for Kable News Company, as the manager in the mail operations retiring on May 30, 1987 after 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 143, Mt. Morris Kiwanis, Mt. Morris Senior Citizens, and he served as a board member for 24 years and president for 12 years for the Village of Progress. Robert was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Morris, IL.

Lucille was born June 2, 1930 the daughter of Alek & Stanislava “Stella” (Rutkowski) Tyminski in Chisholm, MN. Lucille married Harry Eichhorst on April 19, 1953 in Chicago, IL. She loved to work in her yard, gardening, crochet, cleaning, long walks, and traveling. Lucille loved spending her time with her family.

Joan Pattermann, 77
Joan passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Polo Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Joan was born January 15, 1940 in Wheaton, IL the daughter of Wilfred and Matilda (nee Borter) Mittman. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Pattermann. He preceded her in death on June 08, 1998. They had a beautiful marriage and were a blessing to each other.
Joan was a loving wife and mother who gave herself selflessly in caring for and raising her family. She had a beautiful faith in God which she passed on to others by word and example. She loved to watch birds and enjoyed the beauty of nature. She loved gardening and canning food, she was an excellent cook and enjoyed making favorite foods for others. She loved people.
She is survived by her children and spouses; Mike (Kathy) Pattermann, Aurora IL, Ed (Sue) Pattermann, Syracuse NY, Jean (Brad) Hagemann, Mt Morris IL and 7 loving grandchildren: Elizabeth Pattermann, Rachel Pattermann, Christopher Pattermann, Emily Pattermann, Abby Pattermann, Danielle Hagemann, Megan Hagemann; her sister Nancy (Frank) Biese, her brother Leo Mittman, many nieces, nephews and friends.
