Forreston, IL. - Ryan Daniel Yurs, 16, of Forreston died March 2, 2010 at Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford, IL. Born on June 24, 1993 in Rockford, IL., the son of Thad Yurs, Marengo, IL., and Heather McCullough-Walker, Forreston, IL. He is a student at Forreston High School and has lived in Ogle County most of his life. Ryan enjoyed 4-wheeling, dirt biking, snowmobiling, and wood working. His goal was to be a diesel mechanic.

Ryan is survived by his parents, 2 sisters: Kourtney Yurs, Forreston, IL; Kayden Walker, Forreston, IL. Maternal Grandfather: Daniel McCullough, Rockford, IL. Maternal Grandmother: Frances Newcomer, Leaf River, IL. Paternal Grandmother: Marsha Goodheart-Yurs, Rockford, IL. Step-Maternal Grandparents: Richard & Sandra Decker, Rockford, IL. Step-Father: Jeremy Walker, Forreston, IL. Also, several cousins. Special Friend: Cam Peterson. Predeceased by his Step-Maternal Grandfather: Jim Newcomer.

Services will be held Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Finch Funeral Home, Mt. Morris, IL., with the Rev. Kent Svendsen officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, March 6, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Finch Funeral Home, Mt. Morris, IL.

In memory of Ryan Yurs, a memorial to help the family has been established at Byron Bank and Forreston Bank. Arrangements by Finch Funeral Home, Mt. Morris, IL.

Ryan, i dont even know where to start. you are such a sweet boy. everything about you makes me smile :]. i will always remember when i rode on your snowmobile for the first time. it was cold, wet, and i couldn't wait until it was over lol. I remember when we went driving around leaf river in your grandmas truck(my mom still doesn't know about this :]). I remember when i spent 4 hours looking for the perfect dress and shoes for homecoming- then we ended up going to the pumpkin patch instead. I remember when you licked Pixy sticks off my boobs. I remember when we got drunk and i sat on your lap in the middle of the street. I remember all the bus rides on the way home from school. I remember when we had an epic NERF war at Christians house. I remember when we got the cops called on us at the park. I remember the dirty drawings we used in make in chalk at the park. I remember when your dog ruined my Halloween costume :]. I remember holding hands with you. I remember your hugs and your kisses. . i remember your damn Carhartt hoodie obsession. i remember the little things, good and bad. i will always love you Ryan Daniel Yurs <3
