Finch Funeral & Crematory began in 1910 in North Liberty, Indiana, before relocating to Mt. Morris, Illinois in 1920 under founder Louis G. Finch. The business has remained family-owned for four generations, with Louis' sons, Charles W. and Louis Jr., joining after World War II, followed by grandson Louis G. Finch III after the Vietnam War, and great-grandson Louis G. Finch IV in 1993. Louis III and Louis IV are both active in the Mt. Morris community through their church, civic organizations, and professional service, with Louis IV also serving as the elected Ogle County Coroner. Together, they continue the family's tradition of care and involvement, combining a rich history with deep community ties.
