Donald F. Gallup – 86

Leaf River, IL, Donald F. Gallup, age 86, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. Don was born August 17, 1931 in rural Leaf River, IL, the son of Clifford & Vera (Knapp) Gallup. He graduated from Leaf River High School class of 1949 and later enlisted in the Air Force, serving 3 years in Germany. He then returned to the family farm and began his life-long profession with his brother, Keith. In 1956, Don married Alene Borneman, a high school classmate, in Mt. Morris, IL. He was a member of the Mt. Morris Church of The Brethren, and served on the Leaf River School Board and the Egan Cemetery Association.
Don is survived by his wife: Alene Gallup, Mt. Morris, IL; daughter: Debra (Jon) Nekritz, Frankfort, IL; grandchildren: Erin Nekritz and Kyle Nekritz, both of New York, New York; and several nieces and nephews.
Don is preceded in death by his parents; son: Steven, in 1982; sister: Bernice Hagemann; and brother: Keith Gallup.
Memorial services will be held on Friday December 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Mt. Morris Church of The Brethren, Mt. Morris, IL. Private burial will be held on Friday December 22, 2017. Visitation will be held on December 22, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in the church.

Roxanne M. Coil – 65

Mt. Morris, IL, Roxanne M. Coil, age 65, passed away in Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon, IL on December 4, 2017. Roxanne was born on November 23, 1952 in Chana, IL, the daughter of Lynn & Arlene (Carter) Davis. She married Walter Coil on December 13, 1971 in Oregon, IL. Roxanne enjoyed shopping, antiquing, garage sales, reading, watching scary movies, flowers, but most of all she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Roxanne is survived by her husband: Walter Coil, Mt. Morris, IL; parents: Lynn (Arlene) Davis; 3 children: Angela Newman, Renee (Rich) Stover, Dale Coil, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; 1 brother; 2 sisters.
Roxanne is preceded in death by her son: Jeremy Scott Coil.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday December 7, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be held at a later date.

Neva Mae Zentz – 66

Dixon, IL Neva Mae Zentz, age 66, received her wings surrounded by her family on Friday November 24, 2017 in Dixon, IL. Neva was born July 25, 1951 in Graves County, KY the daughter of George & Mavella (Allen) Richard. Neva worked at Borg Warner for 25 years and Plews Edelmann for 10 years in Dixon, IL. Neva loved to shop for shoes and purses, and spend many hours with her granddaughters.
Neva is survived by her son: Scott (Tammie Nantz) Zentz, Dixon, IL; 2 granddaughters: Anna and Ashley Zentz, both of Dixon, IL; 2 brothers: Gene (Ruby) Richard, Valrico, FL and Rick (Deb) Richard, Dixon, IL; 2 sisters: Pam (Dan) Whipple, Dixon, IL and Kim (Kevin) Newburgh, Rock Falls, IL; Aunt: Mabel Ray, Murray, KY; and many nieces and nephews.
Neva is preceded in death by her parents; brother: Terry Richard.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday December 2, 2017 at the Last Stop, 1914 Lowell Park Road, Dixon, IL from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. in the banquet room. Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL.

Robert A. Radville – 77

Oregon, Il., Robert A. Radville, age 77, passed away November 21, 2017 in KSB Hospital, Dixon,
Il. Bob was born August 24, 1940, in Chicago, Il., son of Allen and Helen (Juronis) Radville. He
graduated from Gage Park High School, then attended Illinois Institute of Technology and
Christian Life School of the Bible. He served in the U.S. Navy. He married Lynne Payette on
August 24, 1973 in Rockford, Il. He was a self employed truck driver, driving team with his wife
for many years. They put over 2,000,000 miles on their Peterbilt truck, traveling the 48 states and
Canada. Home base to California every week was their main haul. He was CEO of
Shadowboxer Express, partner and co-owner of Shadowboxer Arabians, Flowers by Radville,
Radville’s Garden Center and the Christian Corner Bookstore. Bob was a member of Owner
Operator’s Independent Driver’s Association, John Birch Society, Arabian Horse Association,
Transport for Christ, and a founding member of Global Harvest Church, fka, Grace Bible Church.
Bob loved his family and family activities, camping, fishing, boating, and helping his girls at horse
shows. Getting his love of horses from his wife, he made her dream a reality. A reality that passed
down to their children and grandchildren. He loved reading Louis L’Amour books and the cowboy
way of life. Trucking and building things, another passion, was passed on to his boys. In the last
few years, Bob has taken up cooking, with cherry pies his specialty. His last dinner for us, was
lasagna, made totally from scratch, and it was awesome. He will be greatly missed by his family
and his furry family of horses, cats, dogs, Molly and Polly, who were blessed by his love and care.

Dr., Mt. Morris, Il., from 1 to 4, with Chaplain Jay LaRette leading the service at 2:00 P.M. Luncheon to follow.

Joyce E. Shelton – 82

Joyce Elaine Sweeney Shelton,age 82 passed on November 16,2017. Joyce was born Sept 1,1935 in Pine Creek Township to Wilbur J & Ida Kump Sweeney. Joyce spent the majority of her life in Mt. Morris.
Joyce worked at Kable Printing and Pinecrest for many years.
Joyce enjoyed painting, crocheting and reading in her spare time. She enjoyed sharing her life with her schipperke dogs, Trixie, Shadow, Belle, Scooter, and Muffin .
She is survived by her daughter Tina Rauch Toney (Mike) , Colonial Heights,VA her son Jeff Shelton, Mt. Morris, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Siblings, Patricia Burd, Gene Sweeney, Richard (Margaret) Sweeney, Judith Barnhart and David (Julie) Sweeney. many neices and nephews.

At her request there will be no services.

Gregory J. Wood – 19

Leaf River, IL, Gregory J. Wood, age 19, passed away on November 10, 2017 in his home in Leaf River, IL. Gregory was born on September 16, 1998 in Rockford, IL the son of Marcus & Nicole (Wiles) Wood. Gregory graduated from Forreston High School class of 2017. Gregory started at an early age as a Leaf River Fire Cadet until he completed his Cadet training earning his full radio number. In 2014 he became an emergency medical responder, which he was the first and youngest in Illinois through Swedish American EMS. Gregory loved firefighting so much he joined the German Valley Station. He completed his EMT B Certification through Highland Community College in the spring of 2017. Gregory in his free time enjoyed riding four wheelers, shooting guns, and spending time with his family. Gregory worked for Joe-Eng Dairy Farm in German Valley, IL.
Gregory is survived by his Parents: Marcus (Nicole) Wood, Leaf River, IL; Brother: Travis Wood, Leaf River, IL; Grandparents: Jim (Melinda) Wiles, Leaf River, IL; Mike (Bev) Campbell, Shannon, IL; and Greg (Julie) Wood, Clarksville, TN; Great Grandparents: Jack (Nonie) Wiles, Leaf River, IL; Ray (Linda) Swanson, Byron, IL, Betty Wood, Oregon, IL; Aunts & Uncles: Jessica (Jason) Stoll, Alex Wiles, James (Patty) Wood; Several Great Aunts, Great Uncles, and Cousins: Sadie, Nolan, and Tyler; step Aunts & Uncles; and many other family members.
Gregory is preceded in death by Great Grandparents.

David Allen Jones – 77

Mt. Morris, IL, David Allen Jones passed away on November 16, 2017 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. Dave was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 29, 1942. Dave was raised in Princeton, Sterling and Dixon, Illinois as a boy and later moved to California where he spent most of his life. In his later years, Dave moved to Ohio and then back to Illinois.
Dave was extremely talented in many areas of life. He was a master tool and die maker for most of his career. He was a creative inventor, an artist, poet, and loved to tinker in his work shop.
Dave loved the Lord and was active in choirs, Bible studies, and other activities. Dave was a dedicated and loving husband and father and served the Lord at Pinecrest in spite of his physical challenges.
He was preceeded in death by his late wife Betty and son, Marshall. He is survived by his first wife, Joy, their three children Allan, Scott (wife, Gloria), and Tamara, as well as their two grandchildren Marshall Junior, and Kierra, and his current wife, Carole Reisinger-Jones. He is also survived by his brothers: Ted (Kris), Randy (Thelma), and Cliff (Linda). The last four years Dave and Carole have resided at Pinecrest Community in Mount Morris, Illinois.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18 at 1:00 pm at Lost Lake Community Church of the Nazerene, 90 W. Flagg Road (corner of Flagg and Lowden Road).

Loretta L. Greene – 78

Oregon, IL, Loretta L. Greene, age 78, passed away Saturday October 28, 2017 in Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, IL. Loretta was born May 29, 1939 in West Virginia, where she lived her life in the Charlestown, Harpers Ferry, and Martinsburg areas of West Virginia until 1997. Loretta moved to Illinois in 1997 to be closer to her three youngest children, and her grand children who were residing here in Illinois.
Loretta is survived by her children: Lynn Painter, Laine Painter, Lori Wagner, and Lance Painter; grandchildren: Choni Birkett, Ryan Thomas, Adria Chikotas, Andrea Thomas, and Lacey Painter; and 2 great grandchildren.
Loretta is preceded in death by her eldest daughter: Leslie A. Jones of Martinsburg, West Virginia who passed away in February of 2008, and her husband: Nathaniel L. Greene, who passed away in 2013, at the age of 81.
Cremation rites have been accorded per the wishes of Loretta.

Gary John Rubly – 63

Gary John Rubly, age 63, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017 in his home. Born on Feb. 28 ,1954 to James Richard Rubly and Martha (Drees) Rubly. Graduated from Boylan Central Catholic High School class of 1972. Gary was a life-long farmer, most recently in Forreston, Il. He loved hunting, fishing, and working outdoors. He always had time to lend a hand to anyone in need . His sense of humor was infectious. He will be sincerely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include sisters: Joyce[Dale] Bland, Nancy Mckee, and Jan[Tony] Steward.. 2 aunts, Margaret Rubly, and Anna Jean Drees. Numerous cousins and nieces and nephews. Special friends, Mark Michalak, David Ames, John, Shelly, and Melissa Bokker, Dan Miller, Renee and John Ludwig, and many other good friends.
Predeceased by his parents.

Amos H. Taylor Jr. – 87

Mt. Morris, IL, Amos Henry Taylor Jr., age 87, died Thursday October 26, 2017 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. Amos was born April 23, 1930 in Buena Vista, CO the son of Amos Henry & Isabelle (Wells) Taylor Sr. Amos married Rogene E. Mongan on June 2, 1951 in Oregon, IL. Amos worked fro Kable Printing Compnay for 26 years, after Kable Printing Company he worked for The Mt. Morris School District in the building maintenance and he was also the bus mechanic. Amos loved his grandchildren, puttering in his garage, driving his golf cart with his grandchildren, he helped Rogene quilt, and he loved his time with his dog Lexi.
